Shelagh Connor Shapiro is a graduate of Middlebury College and the Vermont College MFA in Writing Program. Her novel, Shape of the Sky, (Wind Ridge Books, 2014) was nominated for the Vermont Book Award. Her stories have been published in a number of literary journals, including North Dakota Quarterly, Hunger Mountain, Short Story, and The Baltimore Review. Shelagh was nominated for a Pushcart Prize in 2014 for her story "somewhere never gladly," which appeared in Please Do Not Remove, an anthology of work inspired by retired Vermont library cards. She lives near Burlington, Vermont, with her husband and sons.
